Anna Sławińska is a quilter and teacher, the owner of the first Patchwork School in Poland, founded in 2013, where she conducted over 150 patchwork courses. One of the founders of the Polish Patchwork Association.
She has been sewing patchwork for over 35 years and has many individual and group patchwork exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 2016, her work entitled "Mgławica Trójlistna Koniczyna" was exhibited at Europe's largest patchwork exhibition in Birmingham in the Fine Art Quilt Masters category - among the 20 highest-rated quilts.
She likes the artistic quilt trend the most, including the "confetti" and "stitch and slash" techniques. Both allow for a painterly approach to sewing fabric images. She is also attracted to recycling art and fabrics experiments, as part of which she created her own technique called "łaciaki". She prides herself on giving a second life to unnecessary clothes in this artistic way.
Anna Sławińska's engineering education and her huge quilting experience make her an invaluable reviewer for us, having been a user of OLFA tools for years. We greatly appreciate her insights and comments, and the ability to share this knowledge with other users via our website is a source of great satisfaction for us.
