Last Saturday, at the headquarters of EMB Systems in Warsaw, the opening of the nationwide patchwork competition took place. The competition was organized by the very dynamic Patchwork Mazowiecki Group and EMB Systems. The theme of the competition was the slogan "Tell me a story", which had to be interpreted in the form of a sewn patchwork.
Many beautiful works were submitted to the organizers and the winners were selected from among the participants:
"Beginners" category
1st place - EWA DULEWICZ for the work HISTORY OF VAN GOGHA
2nd place - ELŻBIETA LIGÓR for the work DAY IN THE GARDEN
3rd place - BOGUMIŁA SOSIŃSKA for the work I LOVE A ROSE
"Intermediate" category
1st place - SZYMON KOT for the work HARLEQUIN WITH VIOLIN
2nd place - SYLWIA HALUCH for the work FROM A GRAIN TO A CUP
3rd place - JULIANNA GĄSIOROWSKA for the work BETWEEN (IN-BETWEEN)
"Advanced" category
1st place - ANNA ZYCHORA - DUDA for the work MY WIFE ZOFIA
2nd place - GRAŻYNA RYSZAWA for the work BRYCZKA
3rd place - PAULINA ROGALSKA for the work SUBJECTIVE HISTORY OF ART IN TWENTY FAST HORSES
During the vernissage, OLFA was also present, presenting tools helpful in patchwork sewing. Rotary knives, mats, scissors and OLFA compasses were well known to the participants of the exhibition and enjoyed great interest.
