On August 18-21, 2022, the next edition of the greatest European patchwork and quilt festival - The Festival of Quilts - took place in Birmingham. The Birmingham Festival is, without a doubt, the biggest patchwork and quilt event in Europe. The event attracts an ever-growing number of visitors from around the world (over 26,000) and enables the presentation of exhibitors displaying their products from markets around the world in professional stands and galleries. The festival is also an opportunity to learn - a wide selection of training courses, shows and discussion panels, as well as a great presentation of many submitted competition works have been prepared for visitors.

Every year, the participation of members of the Polish Patchwork Association at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham increases. In 2019, the winner of the Novice category was Katarzyna Pleśniak, with the work entitled "Pieces of Memories I".

This year's edition was a huge success for Sylwia Ignatowska, who won the 1st prize in the Art Quilts category with her work entitled "Gaja" (166x173cm).
