The Festival of Quilts is Europe’s leading patchwork and quilting event attracting 24,000 quilters from all over the world. The show is a celebration of quilting in all its forms, with over 300 exhibitors offering essential supplies, professionally curated galleries of quilts from leading international makers, 350 workshops, talks and demos plus a magnificent display of over 700 competition quilts from all over the world. This makes a truly beautiful display at the show, you’ll see traditional alongside art quilts, contemporary alongside miniatures and wearable art alongside modern quilts. It is the ultimate patchwork and quilting experience.
The work of leading quilt artists and groups from all over the world will be presented in a series of 30 professionally curated galleries including work from Nancy Crow and The Coverlet 1718 (one of the oldest quilts in existence).
An international juried competition, the Fine Art Quilt Masters Gallery celebrates the finest examples of art quilts with work that has powerful artistic expression with abstract and figurative elements. The winner of the 2018 Fine Art Quilt Masters Gallery will be announced on the opening day of The Festival of Quilts.
